Leading Diversity-Centric Executive Search Firm McCormack + Kristel Recognized by Forbes and the Healthcare Business Review in 2023 Lists

Founded in 1993 on a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, the McCormack + Kristel team is thrilled to be featured on both of these prestigious lists. The firm's award from Forbes, an honor it is proud to have received for the second year in a row, is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

Michelle Kristel, McCormack + Kristel's long-time Managing Partner, said of the award, "It is incredibly meaningful to us because the list is based on recommendations from clients and search colleagues. This award affirms our pioneering leadership in diversity recruiting as well as our commitment to client-centric practices and the resulting decades-long client relationships that are sources of tremendous pride for us."

The list is divided into three major categories: executive search, professional and specialist search, and temp staffing, and the award ranking is based on an independent survey of peers and clients. In total, more than 36,400 external recruiters and 9,200 HR managers/hiring managers, and candidates were invited to participate in this year's survey. The list was announced on May 3rd, 2023, and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website.

The firm's inclusion on Healthcare Business Review's Top 10 Healthcare Executive Search Firm list is particularly gratifying because the recognition included a feature of the firm's diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging-focused approach in HBR's Executive Search Edition cover story: Transforming Healthcare Executive Searches with DEIB-Driven Recruitment.

Regarding the article, Ms. Kristel said, "Inclusive recruiting practices to introduce a truly diverse pool of candidates to our clients has been a bedrock principle of our firm since its founding over 30 years ago. We are privileged to highlight our unique approach for HBR readers." She continued, "Joe McCormack established our firm to recruit talent to national and community-based HIV/AIDS service organizations, and we have only expanded our practice since then. The firm's identity is inextricably tied to social justice and human service and rooted in values of diversity and inclusion that form the core of who we are as individuals and as a firm. We are honored to be recognized as a leader in this arena."

McCormack + Kristel believes strongly that all organizations should reflect the rich diversity of the communities they serve and the world in which we live. Consistent with their values and beliefs, the firm is woman-owned and the team is entirely comprised of women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

McCormack + Kristel remains committed to these values and proud of its status as one of the first diversity-focused recruiting firms. The firm is pleased to see diversity and inclusion becoming the norm as foundational principles in the search field, and is honored to be recognized by clients, colleagues, and business leaders with these awards.
