Meet the Team: Enrique Campos

What makes you passionate about your work in executive search?

Knowing that we can help make sure that the folks that lead these organizations represent the people they serve.

What does it mean to you to be a part of a diversity-focused firm?

Getting to be a part of a diversity-focused firm means that it is both a responsibility and a privilege to make sure that I am doing everything in my power to help present a diverse panel of candidates to our clients. We do this not only because our client has asked for a diverse panel, but because the value of having a diverse staff in an organization goes beyond finding the right person with the right qualifications. These leaders bring their whole selves into the organization and their mere presence can help foster a sense of belonging for other staff.

What are your favorite kinds of searches to work on?

I enjoy working with many different organizations, but some of my favorites tend to be with organizations that help serve youth, whether it be youth homeless services, LGBT youth services, education services, or any other youth service providers. I see these organizations create platforms for young leaders and it helps give me hope that the next generation can continue in the journey to make our world a more equitable place.

How do you maintain health and emotional well-being throughout the workday?

I try to give myself some perspective. When the workload seems high and it feels like a mountain, it helps me to give myself a sort of reality check and say to myself “You’re only human, take a deep breath and don’t worry about the amount of work, just focus on one task at a time”.

What is your favorite way to unwind and relax after a productive day?

I either play whatever videogame I am into at the time, or I try and get some physical exercise in by going to the gym, hiking, or taking a walk.

What's your favorite way to celebrate after a successful search?

By going out to a bar or catching a movie!
