Meet the Team: Kristine Papp

What makes you passionate about your work in executive search?

I am inspired by the good work that our clients and their leaders are doing. My background was in the corporate world and the thought process was the bottom line. Working with nonprofits and mission driven organizations that are out to change the world is refreshing and inspiring. I am inspired every day to do my small part in helping these organizations find the right leaders and succeed.

What does it mean to you to be a part of a diversity-focused firm?

One word: proud. I am proud of the team we have and to be part of that team. We all work very hard and I am proud of the work we do for our clients, for each other and for our communities.

What are your favorite kinds of searches to work on? (policy, cmco, marketing, board searches, program searches)

I have a special place in my heart for LGBT searches, especially LGBT youth organizations. The world can be a mean and unforgiving place and to help organizations that reach young teens/young adults and give them a safe place to go to and a safety net for their future is rewarding.

How do you maintain health and emotional well-being throughout the work day?

Next question!! I need to find more work-life balance. I am a work in progress in this area.

What is your favorite way to unwind and relax after a productive day?

My husband and I usually have dinner together and watch an episode of Jeopardy. Getting a few right answers on Jeopardy and getting Wordle in 4 tries or less is a good way to end a productive workday!

What's your favorite way to celebrate after a successful search?

With a glass of wine – Cheers!
