Hi, I’m TransForm’s New Executive Director!

From the TransForm Blog

“Hello, I’m Jenn, and I’m delighted to introduce myself to you today as TransForm’s new Executive Director.

As a longtime advocate for equitable communities, climate, and mobility justice, I am thrilled and humbled that on Sept. 1, I will have the chance to begin leading an organization that I have admired for years.

I come to TransForm from the California Bicycle Coalition where, since 2014, I have helped to grow the organization into a powerful voice for equity, mobility, and joy. Previously, I worked in fields as diverse as sex education, services for houseless people, and prison arts education — working directly with people from all walks of life, and in many different nonprofit roles. I’m also a parent of two teenagers, and for fun I play Cuban music (I’m Cuban-American) and write quirky songs — some of them climate-themed!

I hope to lead TransForm with creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion. Over the past few weeks, I have already had a chance to see how passionate, knowledgeable, open-hearted, and hardworking TransForm’s staff and board are. I’m eager to get to know them better, to learn from and listen to them — and to learn from and listen to YOU as well.

I’m excited to get to know you. With your support, I will do my very best to help TransForm expand its impact — to allow more Bay Area and California residents to thrive in livable, just communities, with access to joyful, affordable, healthy, sustainable mobility options.

Looking forward to the bright future we have as our country increasingly steps up to combat climate change, we hope you’ll keep up on our latest campaigns and wins. Subscribe for free to our newsletter today to ensure that you don’t miss a chance to stay in the know and get involved.

Thank you so much for supporting TransForm. I can’t wait to get started.”

- Jenn Guitart, Executive Director of TransForm
