Meet the Team: Zaria Davis

What makes you passionate about your work in executive search?

As someone who has worked in nonprofit spaces, this has been a new and rewarding experience. I love working to  match leaders with organizations which align with their values and experience. Placing people in places where representation is important and impact within the community is not only seen but felt. 

What does it mean to you to be a part of a diversity-focused firm?

It means being a part of a team that sees the value in all people and able to identify leaders who often represent the people they are serving. Diversity takes on many different forms and I am in a position to explore it in this role. This team is representative of the values that we seek in organizations and professionals. 

What are your favorite kinds of searches to work on?

No one favorite as each has been a different experience to learn from. Every opportunity to engage with a team and candidates broadens my perspective and knowledge. 

How do you maintain health and emotional well-being throughout the workday?

I maintain by starting and ending my day with reflection and gratitude. A homemade strawberry smoothie in the middle of the day doesn’t hurt. 

What is your favorite way to unwind and relax after a productive day?

I love creation so watching a sunset, a walk, or just sitting outside. I also enjoy meditation. 

What's your favorite way to celebrate after a successful search?

To celebrate with the team. A nice meal at a new restaurant (Yelp elite).
