Congratulations to Andy Garcia on his new role as SVP, Programs, Policy & People at Point Source Youth!

Andy (he/him) has nearly 30 years of experience working for queer liberation and social justice, with a particular passion for co-creating programs and services for and with LGBTQ youth. Andy also has a long history of designing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and also did policy work and conference planning for the Equality Federation, working with statewide LGBTQ advocacy organizations.

We want to take a moment to highlight Kristine Papp, our Director of Finance and Administration. Pictured below is Kristine riding for Bike MS NYC, a 30-mile route around the island of Manhattan. Jessica’s work brings 18 years as a human rights and social justice attorney. Jessica’s work has been focused on the rights of adolescents and adults in correctional facilities, specifically in the Brazil prison system.

Tides announces four new additions to its Board of Directors: Trista Harris, Regina Jackson, Jessica Carvalho Morris, and Dylan Orr. “Each of these board members brings a unique perspective, a level of expertise, and a deep commitment that will help drive Tides’ mission and vision as we focus on strengthening power in BIPOC communities, organizations and leaders,” said Board Chair, Roslyn Dawson Thompson.

Out for Undergrad (O4U) announced today that Amanda Zielinski Slenski will serve as its new Chief of Staff. Executive Director Cindi Love also released the names of the four newly appointed 2022 O4U Conference Directors. Love said, “Amanda and the new Directors will kickoff the O4U 2022 Conference season in New York with our Board and 80 volunteers on January 4, 2022.”
